TEHRAN (Dunya News) – Iran will provide special cooperation to Chinese and Russian vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee head Ebrahim Azizi said on Saturday.
Azizi said Tehran will continue prioritizing cooperation with its close partner countries and maintain policies aimed at protecting Iran’s national interests and strategic partnerships.
He also described recent consultative meetings between Iran and Pakistan as important. Addressing nuclear-related issues, Azizi stated that the transfer of enriched uranium was not discussed during the current negotiations and is not part of Iran’s contacts with the United States.
Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, criticized the United States, accusing the American president of undermining diplomacy for a third time.
Rezaei said the United States continued to maintain a naval blockade and is making excessive demands during negotiations. He added that Washington’s actions have weakened confidence in the diplomatic process and argued that pressure tactics are inconsistent with meaningful negotiations.
Iranian officials said the country will continue to pursue policies designed to safeguard its national interests while strengthening strategic relationships with key international partners.
