(Web Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has “thanked Malaysia for its humanitarian stance and Pakistan for its initiative and effective efforts to reach an agreement” to end the US-Israel war on his country.

In a post on X, the president said that in his conversations with the prime ministers of Malaysia and Pakistan, he had emphasised “Iran’s commitment to diplomacy”.

“Iran’s policy is to expand cooperation with Muslim and neighbouring countries in all fields,” he added.

‘MOST OF IRAN’S PROPOSALS ACCEPTED’

Fada Hossein Maleki, a member of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, has said that most of Iran’s proposals were accepted during the latest talks with the United States.

In a statement, Maleki said significant progress had been made in the Iran-US negotiations. However, he added that Tehran remained concerned about US President Donald Trump’s “unpredictable reactions” and what he described as Trump’s habit of not fulfilling promises, which, he claimed, had been witnessed repeatedly in recent days.

Reports suggest a deal between Iran and the United States has been finalised, with the White House also confirming progress. However, the agreement is still awaiting President Trump’s signature, as the US president has not yet signed the draft.

‘DRAFT OF PROPOSED AGREEMENT SHARED’

US President Donald Trump has reportedly shared the draft of a proposed agreement with allied countries, including Israel, regarding negotiations with Iran.

According to a report by a British newspaper, the proposed agreement includes provisions related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz and easing the US blockade measures.

The report said the memorandum of understanding would also allow Iran access to nearly $12 billion in frozen assets held abroad.

Under the proposal, the Strait of Hormuz would be restored to pre-conflict operational levels within 30 days.

The British newspaper reported that China wants the final agreement to receive formal endorsement from the United Nations.
