TEHRAN (Dunya News) -Tabriz Shahid madani International Airport in northwestern Iran reopened on Saturday after completing preparations to resume flight operations, according to Iranian state media.
State broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported that the spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization confirmed that all necessary arrangements had been finalized for the airport’s reopening.
Reports said nearly 20 airports across the country had already resumed operations after disruptions linked to the recent tensions involving the United States and Israel. Tabriz Airport also returned to service from today.
Iranian aviation officials stated that the airport was affected during the recent conflict. Local media had earlier reported that the airport’s runway and control tower suffered damage during attacks on the city of Tabriz.
