KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Tuesday demanded that the inquiry report into Karachi’s Gul Plaza tragedy be made public, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the MQM-P has approached the Sindh Information Commission seeking the release of the inquiry report.
The senior leader of MQM-P, Dr Farooq Sattar, has submitted an application to the commission requesting complete access to the inquiry commission's report and proceedings related to the incident.
He said that the inquiry commission’s report reportedly mentioned alleged negligence by several government officials and relevant institutions. Farooq Sattar said that 84 citizens lost their lives in the incident, and the affected families are still waiting for justice.
