Balochistan bans donating sacrificial animals' hides to proscribed organizations

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta to review the security situation in the province during the Eidul Azha holidays

QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Balochistan government on Tuesday imposed a ban across the province on donating sacrificial animals’ hides to proscribed organizations, and warned that action will be taken against violations.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta to review the security situation in the province during the Eidul Azha holidays, overall state of cleanliness and to discuss the disposal of offal of sacrificial animals in the province.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to intensify public awareness and publicity campaigns regarding the disposal offal of sacrificial animals and waste, stating that clear and positive improvements in cleanliness and arrangements should be visible in Quetta and other major cities.

The meeting also decided to acquire machinery on rent at all district and divisional headquarters for the disposal of animals’ waste.

Sarfraz Bugti also said that security at Eidgahs and mosques across the province must be ensured at all costs.
