MANDI BAHAUDDIN (Web Desk) – Tremors were felt across several areas of Punjab on Monday, including Mandi Bahauddin, Malakwal and Phalia, triggering panic among residents.
According to reports, the quake was strong enough to prompt people to rush out of their homes while reciting prayers.
The Seismological Centre confirmed that the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale. It had a depth of 12 kilometres, with its epicentre located 58 kilometres southwest of Jhelum.
Following the tremors, fear and panic spread among local communities, though no immediate reports of casualties or damage were confirmed at the time of reporting.
