LAHORE (Dunya News) – Three candidates were caught cheating during the Intermediate Part-II Chemistry examination 2026 in Lahore, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to the examination authorities, squads of the controller examinations department carried out surprise inspections at various examination centres and caught three students red-handed while using unfair means at a government high school centre.

The candidates identified were Suleman Masih (Roll No. 544158), Saban Ali (Roll No. 680443) and Hamid Irfan (Roll No. 680426).

Officials said unfair means cases (UMC) had been registered against all three candidates and their cases had been referred to the committee concerned for further action.

Controller Examinations Tauseef ur Rehman said strict monitoring was continuing under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

He added that authorities were strictly implementing a “zero tolerance policy” against cheating and organised exam malpractice networks.

Tauseef ur Rehman warned students against risking their futures through dishonest practices, saying no leniency would be shown in such cases. He also appreciated the raiding teams and directed officials to further tighten monitoring arrangements at examination centres.
