PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least 16 people lost their lives and seven others were injured in a collision between a passenger van and a bus on the Swat Expressway.
According to Motorway Police officials, the accident occurred due to the negligence and careless driving of the van driver. Authorities said the speeding van crashed into a bus that was parked on the roadside.
The bus was travelling from Karachi to Buner, while the van was heading from Rawalpindi to Dir.
Rescue teams and Motorway Police personnel reached the scene shortly after the incident was reported. The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to Mardan Medical Complex for treatment and further procedures.
