DOHA (Dunya News) - US President Donald Trump held telephonic conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, according to foreign media reports.
During the call, Sheikh Tamim discussed efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting de-escalation.
According to Qatari officials, Doha confirmed that support was reiterated for diplomatic initiatives led by Pakistan’s leadership.
Meanwhile, Iran has escalated its rhetoric towards the United States, with senior officials declaring that US President Donald Trump has little room to manoeuvre unless Washington accepts Tehran’s demands and recognises what Iranian leaders describe as the country’s legitimate rights.

The latest remarks came from Iranian Defence Ministry spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik, who warned that any failure by Washington to comply with Iran’s demands would result in further setbacks for the United States and its leadership.
Speaking to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Talaei-Nik said the US and its allies had reached a decisive stage both on the battlefield and in diplomatic efforts.
“The only way out of the third imposed war for the American-Zionist enemy, on both the battlefield and in diplomacy, is to secure the demands of the Iranian people,” he said.
He further argued that Washington’s position had become increasingly difficult, saying Trump should avoid exposing Americans and the wider international community to additional losses linked to continued conflict.
