LAHORE (Dunya News) - Traffic police action in Lahore reportedly left citizens facing severe difficulties after a major disruption was caused on Canal Road in an effort linked to meeting enforcement targets, according to sources.
Authorities set up barricades near the Mall Road underpass on Canal Road, stopping vehicles and motorcycles for checking, which significantly affected the flow of traffic.
As a result, long queues of vehicles were witnessed on the busy artery, with commuters stuck in traffic for hours. Office-going citizens faced significant delays and disruption to their daily routines.
The sudden roadblocks led to widespread congestion, with several sections of Canal Road becoming heavily jammed during peak hours.
Citizens strongly reacted to the situation, stating that the unexpected installation of barricades not only disrupted traffic flow but also caused serious inconvenience to daily life across the city.
