Humanitarian crisis deepens in Afghanistan under Taliban regime

(Web Desk) – The true face of the Taliban regime, which has imposed hunger and despair on the Afghan people, has been exposed to the world

The ongoing economic crisis, poverty, and food shortages under the Taliban regime made the lives of Afghan citizens extremely difficult. In famine-stricken Afghanistan, innocent children began to be sold in exchange for debt and bread, and humanity groaned.

A report by BBC stated that many impoverished Afghan families are struggling to secure even two meals a day, while some have resorted to selling their children to repay debts or obtain food.

The United Nations estimates that nearly three out of every four people in Afghanistan are unable to meet their basic needs. Reports further indicate that unemployment among young people has surged, the healthcare system remains severely strained, and approximately 4.7 million Afghans are at risk of famine.

According to BBC, medicines are scarce in government hospitals across Afghanistan, forcing patients’ families to purchase medicines from private markets at high costs.

According to experts, the Afghan people are paying the price for the stubbornness, mismanagement, and economic destruction of the occupying Taliban regime in the form of hunger, poverty, and unemployment. The Taliban regime is causing more destruction and devastation for Afghanistan with every passing day due to its poor performance and involvement in terrorism.
