LAHORE (Web Desk) - Shan Masood is reportedly considering resigning as Pakistan’s Test captain following the team’s disappointing Test series defeat against Bangladesh.
According to sources, Shan Masood became disheartened after Pakistan suffered defeats in both Test matches of the series.
The Pakistan Test captain has faced intense criticism after the back-to-back losses, with questions being raised over the team’s performance under his leadership.
Shan Masood was appointed Pakistan’s Test captain in December 2023. Under his captaincy, Pakistan played 16 Test matches, winning four and losing 12.
In the first Test played in Dhaka, Pakistan suffered a 104-run defeat against the hosts.
In the second and final Test, Pakistan failed to chase a 437-run target and were bowled out for 358 runs, losing the match by 78 runs in another historic setback.
