(Web Desk) – ‘Bullah’ is all set for its world television premiere this Eidul Azha.
Featuring Shaan Shahid and Sara Loren in lead roles, the film was originally released on Eidul Fitr and quickly gained attention for its modern, stylised Punjabi retelling inspired by the legendary figure of Bulleh Shah.
The story follows Bullah, portrayed by Shaan, as he battles systemic injustice and organised crime using the philosophical teachings inherited from his father.
Teaming up with undercover operative Sophia, Bullah takes on oppressive forces and a ruthless mafia leader, Bakshi, while striving to protect displaced communities across both rural and urban Punjab.
Directed by Shoaib Khan and written by Nasir Adeeb — known for penning The Legend of Maula Jatt — Bullah explores themes of resilience, dignity, and resistance.

The film made a notable impact at the box office and is now set to reach television audiences nationwide.
Internationally, Bullah also performed strongly, particularly in the United Arab Emirates. Speaking about the project, Shoaib Khan described the film as “a labour of love and hard work,” adding that it addresses universal themes of oppression, resistance, faith, and dignity while remaining deeply rooted in Punjabi culture.
During promotional tours, Shaan Shahid said Bullah is “not just a film, it’s a voice,” calling it “fearless, meaningful cinema grounded in truth” that reflects the strength of culture.
