MARDAN (Dunya News) – A man and his wife were killed and their son was critically wounded when roof of a dilapidated house collapsed due the rain in Mardan on Monday night, Dunya News reported.
According to details, roof of the house, located in Loond Khorh area of Mardan, suddenly caved-in during rain, burying a man, his wife and son under the debris while they were sleeping.
Police and Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and started rescue operation with the help of local residents. The rescue teams retrieved dead bodies of the couple from the rubbles and pulled out their son in injured condition.
Later, the rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital. The deceased were identified as 60-year-old Shah Wazir and his wife. The injured was identified as 18-year-old Siddique.
