KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Karachi South Court on Monday declared the appearance of suspect drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky at the City Court as dangerous and ordered that the hearing be conducted inside the jail.
Sessions Judge Zahoor Ahmed Hakro allowed suspect Anmol to be produced in the temporary court set up in jail and directed that remand proceedings be held at the Central Jail Complex.
According to the court order, the judicial magistrate has been instructed to visit the Central Jail Complex to carry out the case proceedings. The case against Pinky, registered as FIR No. 147/2026 at Baghdadi Police Station, includes charges under Section 302.
Police had filed a special application in court citing law and order concerns, arguing that producing the suspect at the City Court could pose security risks.
The court observed that public safety at the City Court could be affected and ordered that all remand proceedings for the suspect be conducted in jail. Relevant magistrates and the investigating officer were directed to implement the order immediately.
Meanwhile, Darakhshan police have also filed a review petition challenging the judicial remand order.
