During the session, the government prosecutor and defense lawyers were also present in the courtroom as the proceedings continued.

Later, speaking to the media, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Faisal Mahmood Malik stated that her interim bail had been extended until June 9. He added that the court had ordered her inclusion in the investigation along with her legal team and husband.

The defense counsel further said that the legal team had fully appeared in the Aliema Khan case and argued that meeting the party’s founding chairman is a constitutional right of the legal team. He added that they are challenging the penalty imposed over meeting requests, arguing that lawyers cannot conduct trials without access to their clients.

He also informed that arguments on bail applications of arrested workers have been completed.
