Iran warned the UAE against strengthening ties with Israel, saying Tehran seeks friendly relations but its patience has limits amid rising regional tensions

TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran has warned the United Arab Emirates against further deepening ties with Israel amid growing tensions in the Middle East.

According to Qatari media reports, Mohsen Rezaei, military secretary to Iran’s supreme leader, said Tehran had not closed the doors of friendship with Abu Dhabi but stressed that Iran’s patience has limits.

He said Iran is fully aware of relations between the UAE and Israel and advised Abu Dhabi not to become involved in what he described as Israeli conspiracies.

The former chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also accused the United States of pursuing a strategy aimed at creating fear of Iran among regional countries. He said Tehran seeks friendly and brotherly relations with all countries in the region.

Mohsen Rezaei added that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for trade and economic activity, but not for military aggression or actions aimed at spreading instability.

Trump issues dire warning to Iran to accept peace deal

Questioning the growing US military presence in the region, he said Washington had previously deployed naval fleets against the former Soviet Union and asked who America now considers its enemy in the Middle East.

Referring to statements attributed to former US President Donald Trump regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Rezaei said Iran has never declared any intention to build a nuclear bomb and accused only the United States and Israel of promoting such claims.

Reports also suggested that during the recent conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, the UAE came under intense Iranian attacks, while some reports indicated Abu Dhabi may also have responded militarily.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the UAE of being directly involved in anti-Iran activities and criticised the Gulf state for not condemning attacks on Iran.

The remarks came after reports claimed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the UAE during the conflict and met Emirati leadership, although the UAE later denied the reports.
