ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A high-level delegation from Egypt’s Ministry of Interior, led by Major General Magdy Hilal, met with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Egyptian delegation included Brigadier Essam Abu Al-Khair, Brigadier Engineer Muhammad Razi, and Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Munir.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in security, counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, cybercrime, and Safe City initiatives.
They also decided to promote joint officer training between Pakistan’s National Police Academy and Egypt’s Police Academy.
Minister Naqvi highlighted that the visit would open new avenues for bilateral cooperation and stressed practical measures to strengthen Pakistan-Egypt ties. He added that a Pakistani delegation would soon visit Egypt to explore further opportunities in shared areas of interest.
Minister of State Talal Chaudhry noted that cooperation in counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and internal security offers wide-ranging benefits for both countries. The Egyptian
delegation appreciated visits to Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force and the National Police Academy, emphasizing that mutual learning could enhance performance in various sectors. Secretary of Interior and senior officials were also present during the meeting.
