Mohsin Naqvi receives invitation for ICC board meeting in India

(Web Desk) – Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has received an invitation to attend the upcoming International Cricket Council board meeting and the Indian Premier League Final in India.

According to sources the decision regarding Naqvi’s participation will be made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The ICC meetings will take place in two phases later this month. The ICC Chief Executives’ Committee meeting will be held virtually on May 21, while the board meeting is scheduled for May 30 and 31 in Ahmedabad.

The meeting is expected to include discussions on proposed changes to the format of the ICC World Test Championship. Under the current structure, every Test series must consist of at least two matches.

The ICC board will also discuss the possible inclusion of Zimbabwe national cricket team, Ireland national cricket team and Afghanistan national cricket team in the World Test Championship cycle.

Mohsin Naqvi is expected to represent the Pakistan Cricket Board at the meeting if approval for the visit is granted by the Pakistani government.
