NEW DELHI (Dunya News) - Indian actress Mouni Roy, widely known for her role in the television drama Naagin produced by Ekta Kapoor, and Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar have announced their mutual separation after four years of marriage.
The couple confirmed their decision through a joint statement shared on social media, in which they stated that they have chosen to part ways after careful consideration and mutual understanding.
In their message, both Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar emphasized that they wish to handle this sensitive phase of their lives with dignity and privacy, requesting the media and public to respect their personal space.
They also addressed circulating rumors and “false narratives” about their relationship, stating that much of the speculation online does not reflect reality and should be avoided.
The statement further added that although they have decided to separate, they will continue to maintain mutual respect for each other. The couple also expressed their intention to remain cordial and possibly preserve a friendly bond in the future.
Reports of their separation had intensified earlier on social media after users noticed changes in their online activity, including unfollowing each other on Instagram and the removal of shared pictures, which fueled speculation before the official confirmation was made.
