Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana wins ICC Player of the Month award

Updated on:

Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana won ICC Player of the Month after outstanding bowling performances against New Zealand and Pakistan.

(Web Desk) – Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana, who troubled Pakistan in the first Test match, has won the ICC Player of the Month award.

According to details, the International Cricket Council announced the Player of the Month award for April.

The young pacer delivered an impressive performance in the ODI series against New Zealand, taking eight wickets in three matches during April.

Nahid Rana had earlier showcased his talent in March as well by claiming eight wickets in the ODI series against Pakistan.

This is the first time Nahid Rana has won the ICC Player of the Month award.

He has become only the second male cricketer from Bangladesh to receive the honour after Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

It is worth mentioning that Nahid Rana produced a destructive bowling spell in the second innings of the first Test against Pakistan earlier this month, turning what appeared to be a draw into a victory for Bangladesh.
