LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has sought a detailed report from senior police officials regarding the drug trafficking network linked to accused Anmol alias “Pinky”.

According to sources, the Crime Control Department (CCD) has also formally launched an investigation into the alleged network associated with Anmol Pinky, who was recently arrested in Karachi in a narcotics case.

Officials said that former police inspector Rana Ikran, identified as the alleged husband of the accused, has also been summoned for questioning. The CCD will interrogate the former officer in connection with the case and possible links to the network.

Sources added that the accused will be brought to Lahore for investigation in an already registered case. It was also noted that she had not been declared a proclaimed offender in a separate case registered at Kot Lakhpat police station.

'Drug Queen Pinki' exposed: Shocking revelations emerge in cocaine supply case

Earlier, a case registered in 2022 at Kot Lakhpat police station against Riyaz Baloch revealed developments in the matter after he allegedly identified his sister Anmol alias Pinky as being involved in drug-related activities.

Police stated that in an earlier incident, a luxury vehicle carrying a man and a woman involved in drug dealing was intercepted in Shadab Colony. As officers stopped the vehicle, the man was apprehended while the woman fled the scene by speeding away in the car.

Further investigation into the alleged drug network and its connections is currently underway.
