Pakistani players slip in latest ICC Test rankings

The only Pakistani bowler in the top 10, Noman Ali, also slipped three places to fifth position.

DUBAI – The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test rankings, showing a decline in positions for several Pakistani players.

According to the details, top-10 batter Saud Shakeel dropped six places to 15th position.

In the batting rankings, England’s Joe Root, Harry Brook, Australia’s Travis Head, Steve Smith, and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson continue to hold the top five positions respectively.

Mohammad Rizwan remains at 21st place, while Babar Azam dropped one spot to 23rd. Captain Shan Masood fell six places to 46th position.

In the bowling rankings, Ravichandran Ashwin retains the top spot. Mitchell Starc, Matt Henry, and Pat Cummins each moved up one place to second, third, and fourth positions respectively.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi remains 24th, while Mohammad Abbas holds 28th position.
