Gold prices in Pakistan drop after days of surge

In the international bullion market gold fell by $11 per ounce to $4,690.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold prices in Pakistan on Wednesday following a decline in international rates, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs1,100 to settle at Rs491,362. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs943 to Rs421,263, the association said.

The decline in domestic rates followed a downturn in the international bullion market, where gold fell by $11 per ounce to $4,690.

In contrast, silver prices moved upward in the local market. The price of per tola silver increased by Rs231 to reach Rs9,136.

Market analysts linked the fluctuations to changes in global bullion trends, which continue to influence domestic pricing in Pakistan.
