(Web Desk) – Iranian-origin Indian actress Mandana Karimi, who gained fame through Bigg Boss, has decided to leave India and return to Iran after living in the country for 16 years.

The actress’s announcement has sparked fresh debate across the Indian entertainment industry and social media.

In an emotional statement following recent regional tensions and the war involving the United States and Israel against Iran, Mandana Karimi said she had made the final decision to leave India and was now preparing to relocate to Iran. She revealed that most of her belongings had already been packed and that she would soon depart.

In an Instagram post, the actress claimed she faced social difficulties after participating in a protest in Mumbai, adding that several friends distanced themselves from her. According to Karimi, the situation caused her severe mental stress and made her feel unsupported in India.

Responding to a question about leaving Mumbai, Mandana Karimi shared a video from the airport and emotionally said she had never imagined she would have to bid farewell to India in such circumstances. “Goodbye India,” she said in the video.

The actress further stated that spending 16 years in India had been a long journey for her, but recent events had made it difficult to continue living there. She also claimed that even people close to her failed to support her regarding the issue related to Iran.

Mandana Karimi added that the past two months had been among the loneliest days of her life. Although she had many friends in Mumbai, she said no one stood by her during the sensitive situation, which ultimately pushed her to decide that it was time to move on.
