KABUL (Dunya News) - Afghanistan is reportedly on the brink of severe economic collapse due to what are described as ineffective economic policies under the Taliban administration, with worsening poverty, hunger, and unemployment across the country.
The situation has created alarming levels of food insecurity, with Afghanistan increasingly being portrayed as a failing state amid a weakened governance structure and a struggling economy.

According to Afghan news agencies Ariana News and Tolo News, the United Nations has warned that food insecurity in Afghanistan is deteriorating further, with more than 13 million people affected. Women and children are reported to be among the most vulnerable groups.
The United Nations World Food Programme has also cautioned that access to specialized nutritional food required for treating malnourished women and children has been severely disrupted.
Experts argue that Afghanistan’s current leadership has failed to prioritize public welfare, with the population bearing the brunt of economic hardship, unemployment, and limited access to essential services.
