Baghaei says Iran's armed forces are fully prepared for any situation as tensions rise with the US and Israel, warning hostile forces of severe consequences amid regional unrest

TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has said that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to confront any possible situation and warned that those showing hostility towards Iran would face severe punishment.

In a detailed statement shared on social media platform X, the spokesperson said the world must raise its voice in support of Iran against what he described as brutality, domination and aggression, warning that silence would push the world toward lawlessness and subjugation by powerful states.

Baghaei accused the United States and Israel of aggression, claiming that the conflict imposed on Iran on February 28 was not merely about territory or resources but an attempt to determine future standards of right and wrong.

He said that those attacking Iran openly take pride in violating international laws and are targeting peaceful Iranian civilians. According to him, civilian locations, including women’s sports halls, have also come under missile attacks.

The Iranian spokesperson stated that, in contrast, Iranian forces and citizens are making every possible effort to protect innocent lives during the ongoing tensions.

He added that the current situation represents a battle between those spreading falsehoods and those defending their homeland, saying that remaining silent in such circumstances amounts to supporting wrongdoing.

Baghaei also announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will soon travel to India to participate in the BRICS summit.

The strong remarks from Iran come at a time when regional tensions continue to escalate, with diplomatic and military friction among Iran, the United States and Israel remaining a major focus of international attention.
