IG Sindh takes strict notice of alleged protocol provided to Anmol Pinki

According to sources, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has also taken notice of the incident and sought a report from Additional IG Karachi, while also ordering a transparent inquiry.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Inspector General (IG) Police on Tuesday has taken strict notice of the alleged protocol provided to Anmol alias Pinky, a "cocaine sullier" arrested in Karachi, who was produced before a court on May 12, 2026, without handcuffs.

According to sources, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has also taken notice of the incident and sought a report from Additional IG Karachi, while also ordering a transparent inquiry.

Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said that during the initial investigation, the accused has revealed some names and added that further arrests would be made in this regard.

On the other hand, Sindh Government spokesperson Saadia Javed told Dunya News that police had arrested a major drug supplier. She added that action would be taken against any police officials found involved in facilitating the network of Anmol Pinki, and if any influential personality was found involved, legal action would also be taken against them as well.
