Seven killed in clash over minor dispute in Nowshera

Police said a case has yet to be registered, while further investigation into the incident is underway.

NOWSHERA (Dunya News) – A dispute over fencing a pathway in the Mian Isa area of Nowshera turned deadly after it escalated into a bloody armed clash, leaving seven people dead from both sides, police said.

According to police, the deceased from one side were identified as four brothers — Zahiq, Waheed, Saleh and Mohammad Ali — while the other side suffered the deaths of Zarghoon Shah and his two sons, Majid and Zahoor.

Police said a heavy contingent rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted all the bodies to DHQ Hospital and Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex.

Residents of the area said the four brothers were installing a fence outside their house when an argument broke out with Zarghoon Shah and his sons Majid and Zahoor, which quickly turned into an armed confrontation.

As a result of the exchange of fire, seven people lost their lives. Police said a case has yet to be registered, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
