(Web Desk) - The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that its Emirates Elite Panel of Umpires and Elite Panel of Match Referees will remain unchanged for the 2026–27 international season following its annual review process.
According to the ICC, the decision was taken after a comprehensive performance assessment by its Umpire Selection Panel, which evaluated officials across international formats over the past year.
The ICC said the retention reflects satisfaction with the consistent high standards, accuracy, and professionalism displayed by match officials, particularly during recent major tournaments and bilateral series.
The governing body noted that umpires delivered strong performances in decision-making, third-umpire reviews, and on-field management, contributing to the integrity and quality of international cricket.
The selection panel included ICC General Manager Cricket Wasim Khan, former English Premier League referee Mike Riley, former international umpire Peter Manuel, and former player and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar.
Separately, ICC management also reviewed match referees and found their leadership and performance to be consistent and effective throughout the year.
ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta said the continuity of the panels reflects their ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and composure across formats and conditions.
He added that the consistency of the officials provides confidence to players, teams, and fans, and congratulated all retained members for their continued selection.
The ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees includes Jeff Crowe, Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft, Richie Richardson, and Javagal Srinath.
The Elite Panel of Umpires features officials from multiple countries, including Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Kettleborough, Nitin Menon, Ahsan Raza, and others, who will continue in their roles for the upcoming season.
