WAZIRABAD (Dunya News) – Two alleged robbers were killed in an encounter with police, whereas a policeman was injured in the shooting occurred near Palkho Bridge here on Monday.
According to police, the suspected outlaws were identified as Atif and Kamran. Their bodies were shifted to hospital for medicolegal procedure. Their four accomplices escaped during the encounter.
Describing the detail of the shootout, police said six suspected outlaws were going on two bikes. On suspicion, patrol police ordered them to stop for checking. They did not stop and opened fire on police, which was returned in a befitting manner.
When their guns fell silent, police searched the area and found two suspects dead. Initial investigation suggested that the suspects have a history of crimes including attempted murder, robbery and other heinous crimes.
