KARACHI (Dunya News) – Awami National Party (ANP) leader Shahi Syed on Sunday strongly criticized Sindh government over lack of development works in cities across the province.
Addressing a gathering in Karachi, Shahi Syed said that the cities across Sindh are being systematically neglected by those in power. He said that the provincial government appears determined not to do development work in any city.
He said that the Sindh government is firmly unwilling to do anything for the welfare of the people. “Earlier there used to be talk of a ten percent commission, but now it seems like it has reached one hundred percent,” he remarked.
Shahi Syed said that people in Karachi obtain water not through taps but by purchasing it through water tankers. He also claimed that, under the pretext of anti-encroachment operations, certain areas are being specifically targeted.
He added that terrorism continues to rage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He further stated that Pakistan’s role in the Iran-U.S. conflict is encouraging, and added that issues with Afghanistan should also be resolved through dialogue. “Wars are not the solution to problems,” he said, urging the rulers to reconsider and review their policies.
