PM Shehbaz discusses regional situation with Qatari counterpart

Both prime ministers reviewed developments related to regional peace initiatives

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday received a telephone call from Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and ongoing peace efforts in the region.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), both prime ministers reviewed developments related to regional peace initiatives and exchanged views on the importance of maintaining stability through constructive engagement.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar and appreciated Doha’s continued and steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts.

The two leaders emphasized the need for all parties to remain constructively engaged to ensure the success of ongoing peace initiatives and regional diplomatic efforts.

During the conversation, the prime minister also conveyed his warm greetings to the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and said he looked forward to the Amir’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.

He expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen and expand the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Qatar.
