(Web Desk) - Actress Mishi Khan has reacted strongly to a viral video showing religious scholar Tariq Jamil refusing to shake hands with a child, expressing disappointment over the incident.
In her response, Mishi Khan said she was saddened after watching the video, stating that the child may have been eagerly waiting for the moment and could have been emotionally affected by the refusal.
She said that when people try to follow the teachings of respected scholars, such actions set an example, and inconsistency in behaviour sends a negative message.
The actress also referred to another recent video in which Maulana Tariq Jamil was seen showing warmth and affection towards performer Mehak Malik, adding that a similar gesture towards the child would not have caused any harm.
The viral video has sparked debate on social media, with users sharing mixed opinions regarding consistency in conduct by public figures.
