ISLAMABAD/LAHORE (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday commended security forces for their successful operations against terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province’s Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts.
In a statement issued by Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Zardari paid tribute to the professionalism of the security forces for eliminating five terrorists reportedly backed by India during the operations. He lauded the forces’ capabilities and reaffirmed that such actions reflect the country’s firm resolve to counter terrorism.
The president emphasized that operations against terrorist elements would continue until the complete eradication of militancy from the country. He stated that the successful actions against Indian-sponsored elements were a manifestation of national determination to ensure peace and stability.
In another press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for neutralizing five militants in the same operations. He said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, security forces were achieving significant successes in the fight against terrorism.
The prime minister reiterated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in this war against terrorism. He stressed that the country remains united and resolute, and will not rest until all forms of terrorism are completely eliminated.
Both the president and the prime minister underscored the importance of continued efforts and national unity to defeat terrorism and maintain lasting peace in the country.
