Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab arrives Sindh Assembly on electric bike, highlights KMC eco-friendly initiative and comments on driving licence confusion.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab arrived at the Sindh Assembly on an electric bike after travelling from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation head office for a meeting.

According to details, a police official at the gate initially did not recognise the mayor and attempted to close the main entrance, after which accompanying staff intervened and got the gate opened.

A video of the incident has also been released showing the moment at the entrance.

When journalists asked whether he came on a bike due to fear of political rival Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Murtaza Wahab responded that he fears no one except Allah.

He said the KMC has already distributed 20 electric bikes to employees and more will be provided in the future.

He added that it was his first time riding a motorcycle, although he has experience riding bicycles.

The mayor further said he travelled to the assembly on a bike but returned in his private car, and added that he was unaware that motorcycle and car driving licences are separate.
