ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The government has decided to provide citizens the facility to apply for passports from the comfort of their homes.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Director General of Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. It was attended by NADRA’s technical team. During the meeting, key decisions were approved.
The current passport system was reviewed in detail, and various reforms were discussed to align it with modern requirements.
During the session, a briefing was given on introducing new technology and updating existing policies in accordance with a digital system.
It was also decided in the meeting to allow citizens to apply for passports from home.
