ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to depart for a one-day visit to Gilgit-Baltistan today, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the visit, the prime minister will meet Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Yar Muhammad to discuss key administrative and development-related matters.
A high-level delegation accompanying the premier will include federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Attaullah Tarar, Amir Muqam, Abdul Aleem Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah.
Officials said the delegation will review ongoing development projects and administrative affairs in the region.
The visit is being viewed as part of the federal government’s continued efforts to improve governance and accelerate development initiatives in Gilgit-Baltistan.
