PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Celebrations are underway across Pakistan as the nation marks the first anniversary of the success of Marka-e-Haq, with events highlighting patriotism and national unity.
In Peshawar, a key ceremony was held at Islamia College Peshawar, where a friendly cricket match took place between the Pakistan Army and college students. The match drew enthusiastic participation from teachers and students, with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” echoing throughout the ground.
Players were applauded for their performances, and prizes and trophies were distributed among standout participants by the chief guest at the conclusion of the event. Organisers said the match aimed not only to celebrate the victory of Maarka-e-Haq but also to strengthen ties between students and the armed forces.
Meanwhile, similar events were held in various educational institutions across the city, where children participated in flag-hoisting ceremonies alongside army personnel. Students presented national songs and tableaux expressing love for the country.
Special prayers were also offered for the nation’s peace, security, and stability. Officials from the Pakistan Army appreciated the enthusiasm and patriotic spirit displayed by the children.
Participants paid tribute to the armed forces for their role in the success of Marka-e-Haq, chanting slogans in their honour during the celebrations.
