During a recent speech in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Mann referred to a segment from Mazaq Raat, a clip that later went viral on social media.
Recalling the moment, he said a woman on the show was asked by Imran Ashraf what her name was, to which she replied: “Poor people have no name — everyone just calls us ‘hey you’.”
Mann said the remark deeply touched him, adding that society often fails to give the poor the dignity and respect they deserve.
He noted that while wealthy people are addressed with honorific titles, poor families are often spoken to casually, stressing that every person in society deserves equal respect and recognition.
