Punjab Assembly passes resolution to install cameras in school transport

Punjab Assembly approved a resolution to install cameras in public and private school transport, linking them to apps so parents can monitor children and improve safety.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution calling for the installation of cameras in transport used by both public and private schools to enhance student safety.

The resolution was presented by Maria Talal, urging the provincial government to take effective measures to ensure the protection of children travelling in school vans, buses and rickshaws.

According to the text, all school transport vehicles should be equipped with safety cameras and linked to an integrated digital application, enabling parents to monitor their children in real time.

Lawmakers emphasised that the move is aimed at strengthening safety standards and providing greater reassurance to families across the province.
