PM Shehbaz condoles deaths, destruction as heavy storm hits Turkiye provinces

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences to Türkiye over deadly storms in Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, and Adiyaman, offering solidarity, prayers, and humanitarian support

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed his condolences over the loss of lives and properties after a heavy storm hit different provinces of Turkiye, including Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adiyaman, and surrounding regions.

“On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, as well as on my own behalf, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to my dear brother H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and to the brotherly people of Türkiye, on the devastating floods and extreme weather disturbances that have struck the provinces of Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adiyaman and surrounding regions, resulting in loss of precious lives and property,” the prime minister wrote on his X timeline.

He said that Pakistan stood in full solidarity with Turkish brothers and sisters in this hour of grief.

“Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and all those affected by this natural calamity,” Prime Minister Shehbaz added, assuring that Pakistan stood ready to render any humanitarian or material assistance that Türkiye may require in its relief and recovery efforts.
