MUMBAI (Dunya News) - Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has dismissed as fake a viral claim linking her to a marriage proposal involving Rahul Gandhi.
The controversy emerged after a meme page circulated a fabricated statement attributed to the actress, suggesting she would marry Rahul Gandhi if he joined a rival political party.
The post gained traction on social media and was later misreported by sections of Indian media as a genuine comment.
Responding to the claim, Kangana Ranaut shared a screenshot of the viral post on her Instagram story and termed it “fake” and “regrettable.”
She criticised the spread of misinformation and said such content reflects a lack of respect and dignity for women in politics.
The actress, known for her outspoken views, urged people to refrain from spreading false news.
