ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms and possible hailstorms in different parts of the country.
According to an alert issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), several regions are expected to experience strong winds, heavy rain, and isolated hailstorms.
In Punjab, widespread rainfall with gusty winds and thunder is likely. Areas including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Gujar Khan, Jhelum, and Sialkot are expected to receive rain.
Other cities such as Narowal, Layyah, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sahiwal may also witness thunderstorms with strong winds.
In the northern areas, rain is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer, Diamer, Astore, Ghanche, Shigar, Kharmang, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Haveli, Poonch, Rawalakot, Kotli, Mirpur, and Bhimber.
Similarly, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also likely to receive rainfall with thunderstorms, including Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Malam Jabba, and Dir.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures in light of the expected weather conditions.
