LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore Traffic Police have finalized comprehensive traffic arrangements for the final of the Pakistan Super League Season 11.
The final will be played today in Lahore between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kings.
According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, 8 DSPs, 90 traffic inspectors, and over 500 wardens will be deployed to manage traffic and facilitate cricket fans. Five designated parking stands have been set up for spectators.
To eliminate illegal parking, 11 forklifters have also been deployed. Fans can park their vehicles at Government College for Boys and CBD parking areas.
Those coming from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu have been advised to park their vehicles at Main Boulevard Gulberg Liberty. All major roads, including Mall Road, Jail Road, and Canal Road, will remain open for traffic.
Meanwhile, Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Abdul Karim, stated that more than 7,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed to ensure security for both local and international players, officials, and spectators.
He directed supervisory officers to personally oversee all arrangements, including security and traffic management, and instructed personnel to remain highly alert and monitor any suspicious activities. He added that all institutions, including security agencies, are working in coordination to ensure the peaceful conduct of the match.
The IG further said that search operations will be carried out around team residences, routes, and the stadium, while police snipers will be deployed on rooftops of nearby buildings.
