Marka-e-Haq anniversary observed at Mazar-e-Iqbal with special tribute

Participants paid tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - A solemn ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal to mark the first anniversary of the Marka-e-Haq victory, where rich tribute was paid to the Thinker of Pakistan.

Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan captivated the audience by performing Iqbal’s famous verses, including “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua.” Students from various institutions also attended the ceremony, laid floral wreaths, and expressed their reverence.

Students from Government College University Lahore also performed Iqbal’s poetry, adding to the spirit of the gathering. 

Among the participants were UET Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir, Principal of Fatima Jinnah Medical College Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, Principal of Kinnaird College for Women University Dr. Iram, Pro-Rector of University of Management and Technology Dr. Ijazullah Cheema, Dean of University of the Punjab Dr. Baseera Ambrain, Dean of Lahore College for Women University Dr. Rehana, Dean of Government College University Lahore Dr. Shahzad Hussain, Vice Chancellor of Superior University Dr. Muhammad Nizam, and Dr. Nadeem Jaffer, who all participated and expressed their views.

Speakers highlighted Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi and the Two-Nation Theory, stating that the success of Marka-e-Haq reflects the realization of his vision. Participants also paid tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan.

Speakers emphasized that Iqbal’s thoughts remain a guiding light for the younger generation.

At the end of this solemn ceremony, a special prayer was offered for the security, development, and stability of the country.
