ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Significant changes in the seniority of judges at the Islamabad High Court have emerged following the transfer of three judges, leading to a reshuffle in the judicial hierarchy.
After the transfer of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq has become the senior-most judge and will now rank second after the Chief Justice until new appointments or transfers are made.
Following these changes, the court has issued a new judges’ duty roster for the coming week. Under the schedule, seven single benches and four division benches will hear various cases from April 4.
A special tax division bench has been constituted comprising Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, while Justice Muhammad Asif will hear criminal and other cases in different division benches.
The first division bench will include Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif.
The second bench will comprise Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
The third bench will consist of Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro and Justice Muhammad Asif, while the fourth will include Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas.
