ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Iraq’s newly appointed Prime Minister Ali Zaidy on assuming office and expressed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the prime minister extended warm wishes to Ali Zaidy, referring to him as his brother and congratulating him on becoming the Prime Minister of Iraq.
He said Pakistan looks forward to close cooperation with the new Iraqi government and is eager to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
The prime minister added that Pakistan and Iraq will work together to expand ties and achieve shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
He also conveyed best wishes to the Iraqi leadership and expressed hope that relations between the two countries would continue to grow stronger in the coming years.
