Two new polio cases reported in KP, raising Pakistan’s total to three this year, officials urge continued vaccination efforts.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Two new polio cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, raising concerns over the spread of the disease.

According to the National Emergency Operations Centre, the total number of polio cases in the country this year has reached three.

The latest cases have been confirmed from Bannu and North Waziristan districts.

Officials said targeted measures and an effective strategy were being implemented to eradicate polio.

They added that polio is an incurable disease, but it can be prevented through timely vaccination.

Authorities stressed that administering polio drops to children during every campaign is essential for protection.
