IHC schedules Monday hearing for petition seeking access to Bushra Bibi, after registrar objections removed; family visits had reportedly been blocked post-surgery

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has scheduled the hearing of a petition seeking access to PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked that the petition filed by Bushra Bibi’s daughter, Mubashra, would be heard on Monday as initial objections from the Registrar’s office have been removed.

During the proceedings, lawyers Salman Akram Raja, Ali Bukhari, Naeem Panjotha, and Khalid Yousaf appeared in court.

The judge noted that such matters usually required prior coordination with the relevant authorities, suggesting that jail officials should be approached immediately if they have not been yet.

Justice Tahir also inquired whether meetings with Bushra Bibi had previously been allowed, to which the lawyer explained that access was inconsistent and family visits had now been completely blocked.

The petitioners argued that, given Bushra Bibi’s recent surgery and medical condition, the matter was urgent and required immediate attention.

The court confirmed that the petition will be officially numbered and heard on Monday, the first working day following the resolution of objections.
